Community Outreach
For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’ – Deuteronomy 15:11
We collect nonperishable foods, toiletries, and gently used clothing and personally hand them to those in need that we’ve sought out where they are. This includes the Cadillac Motel, Tent City, The Colonial House Motel, and now Dixiana Court in Owensboro on the last Saturday of every month.
Our work is not about glorifying ourselves but humbly serving as vessels of God’s love and provision to those less fortunate. Donations may be dropped off at our store located at 5010 Wildcat Way between 8:30 and 5:30, Monday through Friday.
Because we never have enough food to go around, all nonperishables are deeply appreciated. However, the following is a list of the most sought-after items.
Tuna Pouches, Vienna Sausages, Beanie Weenies, Ramen Noodles, Peanut Butter Crackers, Fruit Cups, Oatmeal Packages, Nutra-grain Bars, Single Servings of Apple Sauce and Peanut Butter. Pull-tab cans are great, but we’ll hand out can openers when needed.
We do not accept monetary gifts. Instead, please follow this link to have sought-after items shipped directly to us from Amazon.

Outreach Journal: April 27th, 2024
Usually, I would start by writing about the logistics of how the day was put together, beginning with how the provisioning was obtained and the food bags assembled. While all of that is important, I’ll instead jump right into some events that took place on...
Outreach Journal: March 30th, 2024
We were blessed with an unprecedented amount of food during March. A little-known nonprofit entity in town, which had a small food pantry, decided to close its doors. They heard of our outreach through word of mouth and asked if we’d be interested in their...
